My Story Is Not Linear

It is built on fear, courage, growth, motherhood, travel, driving lessons, and learning how to build a life I didn’t want to escape from.

High School Journalism

1. Before Yuyu VA, I Was a Storyteller

Long before Yuyu VA, I discovered a passion that would stay with me for years. During high school, I was known as the student journalist who always seemed to know what was happening around campus. I founded a journalism and media club that quickly became one of the most talked about activities in the school.

Every Monday and Friday, students would eagerly wait for the latest news, stories, and updates. There was a sense of anticipation as everyone wondered what would be featured next. I loved being at the center of the action, gathering information, talking to people, and sharing stories that kept the school community connected.

Whether it was a major event, a student achievement, or an important announcement, I enjoyed capturing the details and bringing them to life. Those experiences taught me the value of communication and visibility. Looking back, I realize that my passion for helping people share their stories began long before Yuyu VA was ever created.

Professional Life in Financial Institution

2. My Journey in a Financial Institution

My first professional experience was in a financial institution, where I worked after completing my studies in Business Management. At the time, I believed I had found the career path I would follow for the rest of my life. It offered stability, structure, and the promise of long term growth.

For two years, I dedicated myself fully to the role. I gained valuable experience in professionalism, discipline, and responsibility, while learning how demanding the corporate world can be. However, as time went on, the pressure, long hours, and fast paced environment began to weigh heavily on me.

Life started to feel chaotic as I tried to balance my work responsibilities with my family life. I realized that time was moving quickly, and I was growing older without truly feeling aligned with the life I was building.

After deep reflection, I wrote a letter to the CEO and formally resigned from my position. I chose to step away from the financial institution and prioritize my family life while I rethought my direction and strategized my next chapter.

That decision marked the end of one chapter, but also the beginning of a more intentional life built around purpose, balance, and self direction.

3. How Motherhood Changed Everything

Motherhood became the moment everything in my life shifted in ways I could never have fully prepared for. After stepping back and staying home, my days slowed down. For the first time in a long time, I had space to breathe, to rest, and to think deeply about the direction of my life.

In that quiet space, I began questioning everything I thought I knew about work, success, and freedom. I considered starting a physical business, something traditional and visible, but I also knew I wanted more than just routine and obligation.

I wanted freedom, flexibility, and the ability to build a life that allowed me to be present for my family while still growing professionally. That search for balance led me to discover virtual assistance.

At first, it felt unfamiliar and uncertain, something I had to understand from the ground up. I committed myself to learning, studying, and practicing for almost one and a half years before I truly understood the world behind it.

Through that journey, I realized virtual assistance was not just a job. It was a new way of working and living. It gave me the structure I needed, the freedom I desired, and the opportunity to build something meaningful on my own terms. That discovery changed everything for me.

4. Who I Am as a Virtual Assistant

My career today as a Virtual Assistant is the result of everything I have learned, experienced, and rebuilt over time. What once felt like separate chapters of my life has now come together into one clear direction.

From my early experience in a financial institution to my journey through motherhood and self-discovery, every stage shaped the way I work, think, and serve clients today.

Becoming a Virtual Assistant was not an instant transition. It required consistent learning, revisions, and the discipline to understand new systems, tools, and ways of working. I spent time studying how online businesses operate, how effective communication builds trust, and how structure creates freedom for both the client and the assistant.

Today, I take pride in being someone clients can rely on. I focus on planning meetings, organizing tasks, managing business operations, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Every skill I gained in the past now serves a purpose. My background in finance taught me precision, motherhood taught me balance, and my learning journey taught me adaptability. All of this now comes together in my work as a Virtual Assistant, where I strive to be trusted, reliable, and effective in helping clients grow their businesses with confidence.

5. My Hobbies

My hobbies reflect the way I have grown and the mindset I carry today. Driving has taught me courage, patience, and confidence as I moved from fear to control on the open road. Nature gives me peace and clarity, especially when I walk among roads, rivers, and trees that remind me of the beauty and balance of life. Reading books continues to expand my thinking, shaping the way I understand people, business, and personal growth. Together, these hobbies help me stay grounded, focused, and constantly learning as I build both my life and career.

Driving was not always natural for me. It began with fear, hesitation, and overthinking every movement. But slowly, with practice, I learned control, then courage, and finally confidence. What once scared me became something that shaped me. Today, driving the highway reminds me that growth happens when you face what you are afraid of.

Nature

Nature is where I find silence and clarity. Walking through roads, rivers, and trees reminds me of how beautiful life is beyond noise and pressure. It is in these quiet moments that I reflect, reset my thoughts, and feel connected to something greater. Nature teaches me calmness and gratitude.
